The First Conference On Early Black Basketball History

Washington will host the first conference on the early Black contribution to and influence on the game of basketball. Stay tuned for details, as DC Basketball is involved. Mayor Bing, Earl Lloyd and others are confirmed participants, and the venues include the Smithsonian Institution and Howard University:

    Speaking of HOF, Edwin K. Barksdale was just elected to the Hunter Maddex HOF in Winchester, Va. for his teaching & coaching at Douglas HS back in the 50 – 60″s. He spent his playing days at Cardoza and later at Va. State. before passing while at High Point HS.
