  1. I would like to thank dcbasketball.org for providing this platform that recognizes the rich history of basketball in the District of Columbia. Without this platform many of the remarkable teams, players, coaches and individuals who have contributed to this legacy might soon be forgotten. With the Washington Post only focusing their attention beyond the Beltway, this website is truly an asset for those of us who grew up fans of local high school basketball, particularly the Interhigh (now DCIAA), St. Anthony’s High School and the Metro Conference (now WCAC). On that note I would like to also express my appreciation, on behalf of the many Techites out there, for your tribute to former basketball Coach McKinley Armstrong who passed away last week. Again, thanks.
