Perry was one of many outstanding players at the old Western High School (now the site of the Duke Ellington School for the Performing Arts), among them Andrew White, Larry Watson, Lamar McCoy, Floyd Lewis, Achilles Carroll, Dave Reavis (before transferring), John Smith, and Larry Wright.

  1. Hi,
I’m so glad that someone thought to remind us of Curtis Perry. I went to HS with him & played w/him @ the playground. He was amazing!! He would play w/the smallest, weakest kid as his teammate against 5 of us, & still it was no contest; he also made the little kid a winner…he was that good. Also a great NBA star out west, every time he was on TV he was outstanding!

    • That’s pretty impressive CKY. His name isn’t mentioned often enough when people list our great ballplayers. Thank you.

      BCB
