Never understood how Griffin, who averages 24 points and 14 rebounds (and is the NCAA’s leading rebounder), and plays in The Big 12, is national player of the year, but Michael Beasley, who averaged 26.2 points and 12.4 rebounds, was not. Beasley, who led the nation in double-doubles last season, was only a freshman.
